The Rain Before Sunshine


I wake up in the middle of every night,

Trying to find out why I gaze at the star light,


I toss and I turn,

yet I do not know what i yearn,


They say every cloud has a silver lining,

But that's what i keep hearing,


The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow,

Might just turn out to be just a fishbowl,


The heavy rain,

Might just turn out to be a dream.


The dream of the sunshine after the rain.
